CACDP Level 1 Certificate in Communication Tactics with deaf People

Cost: £130 plus VAT

An inspiring and thought provoking one-day workshop which aims to promote a positive attitude towards D/deaf and Hard of Hearing people, and to increase participants knowledge and confidence when communicating with people with any degree of hearing loss.

Content Includes:

  • What does it sound like to be deaf, and how the environment affects communication.
  • Identification – how do you know someone might have a hearing loss?
  • Explanation and demonstration (where possible) of the different types of technical equipment used by D/deaf people.
  • Clarification of the different types of human aids to communication.

This course can be bolted together with Introduction to British Sign Language as a two-day course.
