The North West Museums’ Hub is a partnership between:
- Manchester City Galleries, lead partner
- Bolton Museum & Art Gallery
- Harris Museum & Art Gallery, Preston
- Manchester Museum, University of Manchester
- Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery, Carlisle.
- Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, University of Manchester
It includes as first partners:
- Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester
- People’s History Museum
- Lancashire County Museums Service.
The North West Museums Hub has funding of £2.46 million until 2006 to deliver an ambitious programme supporting the development of outstanding, innovative and inclusive museums for the region. The partnership is using a Specialisms Fund to concentrate on workforce development, utilising the Inspiring Learning for All framework.
