The North West Museums’ Hub

The North West Museums’ Hub is a partnership between:

  • Manchester City Galleries, lead partner
  • Bolton Museum & Art Gallery
  • Harris Museum & Art Gallery, Preston
  • Manchester Museum, University of Manchester
  • Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery, Carlisle.
  • Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, University of Manchester

It includes as first partners:

  • Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester
  • People’s History Museum
  • Lancashire County Museums Service.

The North West Museums Hub has funding of £2.46 million until 2006 to deliver an ambitious programme supporting the development of outstanding, innovative and inclusive museums for the region. The partnership is using a Specialisms Fund to concentrate on workforce development, utilising the Inspiring Learning for All framework.
