Partnerships: First Partners and Strategic Partnerships
Strategic partnerships are fundamental to the delivery of Renaissance in the North West. The next phase of development will see MLA North West and the Hub working to build new ways of working and collaborations to extend the benefit of Renaissance resources. The Hub has been working closely with the First Partner organisations in order to connect with leading regional museum collections, and with people living in Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria.
We are working together to deliver Citizenship projects for 13-16 year olds in schools across the region. We are also collaborating to find out more about who visits museums and who doesn’t - and why. Together we are working to plan the future developments of the North West Hub.
The People’s History Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry are part of the Manchester Museums’ Consortium, along with Manchester City Galleries, The Whitworth Art Gallery and Manchester Museum.
With MLA North West we are planning to build consortium working more widely: developing the Hub to support networks in Greater Manchester, Cumbria and Preston; and using Renaissance resources to support other regional networks.
