LEADING THE WAY IN THE CULTURAL SECTOR

29 March 2007

A central aim of the Cultural Leadership Programme is to create a culture of strong leadership through nurturing and support. A particular feature of the Cultural Leadership Programme is to support and encourage diversity in leadership by enhancing the diversity of the Uk’s current and future leaders,

Powerbrokers strand of the Cultural Leadership Programme is based on the conviction that whilst it is essential that people of African, Asian and Caribbean backgrounds are fully represented in the Cultural Leadership Programme, there remains particular areas that require specific interventions to address inherent imbalances within the cultural sectors. Powerbrokers will deliver a programme of activities and events that will bring about tangible benefits to and positive changes in the profile of cultural leaders in the UK. The Leadership Development Days are one of a number of activities developed as part of the Powerbrokers strand of the Cultural Leadership Programme.

Powerbrokers Leadership Development Days have been devised by a team of some of the country’s best facilitators working in business leadership and contemporary culture. Their combined skills and experience have produced a unique range of creative and accessible activities, designed to support leaders that not only extend well beyond the Days themselves, but also represents a connerstone in nurturing and developing dynamic and diverse cultural leaders for the 21st Century
