Thinking of joining the Diversity Network?

19 September 2006

The Diversity Network is hosted by MLA North West, and attracts a wide range of representatives from both within the sector, and from public and voluntary sector organisations.

Membership of the Diversity Network is open to museums, libraries and archives across the North West, as well as organisations involved in a wide variety of diversity-related activity, ranging from adult and community learning, to work with asylum seekers and refugees.

Quarterly meetings are supplemented by an electronic discussion forum, which both act as an information-sharing channel, and an opportunity to find partners for joint activity. Past agenda items have included Adult Learners Week; the Manchester Carnival; prisons and probation activity; the NWDA Equality and Diversity strategy; and the Greater Manchester Arts and Health Initiative.

The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 20th September, 1.30 - 4pm at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester; the following meeting will be scheduled for December.
