North West Archives Conservation and Preservation Needs Audit
Since November 2003 we have been analysing the conservation and preservation needs of 25 archive repositories in the region. Each repository has carried out an audit using the National Preservation Office’s Preservation Assessment Survey and this has been supplemented by a visit from a conservator.
The results of the audit will be individual office and regional reports which will provide immediate, local and long term priorities for the sector. The final report will be published later in 2004. For more information, see:
